This weekend is compulsory for all those wishing to complete the Expedition phase of their ‘Bronze’ DofE.

Prior to the official start of your expedition around mid-day on the Saturday you will engage in a number of revision activities , one of those being ‘map-reading so that you will be confident in your ability to navigate using the map and compass, using intermediary way-points plotted and recorded on route cards.

The Expedition itself will include a hike of around three hours to your overnight campsite, where you will prepare and cook an evening meal, sleep overnight and after breakfast re-commence your hike to the final destination – a further maximum of 3 hours .

Rucksacks will be provided. Civilian clothes. Leaving on the Friday morning.
